This DF™ Concours 6" x 10" wash mitt is preferred among many detailing enthusiasts for a swirl free finish. It fits your hand comfortably and, unlike others cut like a glove, you can use either side with either hand and it is completely reversable. Automotive...

Use the DF™ Concours Towel to dry your car once you've washed it. Pass the towel slowly over the entire surface, you will be amazed how fast it absorbs water. You will never want to use a chamois again.
• Slightly dampen a DF™ Concours Towel and use it to apply wax to your car. It will not scratch the surface and will apply wax in an even and consistent manner.
• Use another to buff the wax once it has dried. The DF™ Concours Towel will polish your car to a brilliant shine without marring the surface. • The DF™ Concours Towel is especially well suited to dusting your car, inside and out. Pass a clean dry towel gently over your car and you will see the dust vanish. If you do this on a daily basis you car will stay cleaner longer between washings. Of course this isn't meant to replace washing but it will dust a car better than those wax coated mops. A quick shake and the towel is ready to use again.
• Use a glass cleaner made especially for automotive use on your windows. Avoid household cleansers, especially with ammonia. Spray the glass with the cleaner then gently and slowly wipe the surface with a clean dry DF™ Concours Towel. Your glass will be so clean it will look like it isn't there anymore, and it will shine!
• If you have chrome wheels you can buff them to a brilliant shine by using the DF™ Concours Towel with your favorite wheel polish or, as I do, simply spray window cleaner on the wheels and wipe them to a brilliant shine with the DF™ Concours Towel.
• Your interior shouldn't be left out either. Use a DF™ Concours Towel to dust your interior's fine wood veneers, leather, and vinyl surfaces. Keep a small towel in your glove box for daily use. A quick wipe and your interior will glisten. The DF™ Concours Towel is very well suited for applying leather and vinyl cleaners and conditioners. The surface will be cleaned and preserved like new and the towel will insure there is no excess cleaner or preservative left behind.

Remember to always keep your DF™ Concours Towels clean. Follow these care instructions below.

• It is easy to clean and with proper care will last a very long time.
• The first thing you should do when you get a new DF™ Concours Towel is to wash and dry it. During the manufacturing process the fabric has a tendency to become flat as it picks up contaminants from the air and machinery. There will also be a number of loose threads that, while they cause no harm, can be annoying the first time you use the towel.
• To clean the towel simply wash it in your washing machine using hot water.
• Always wash your towels separately from other fabrics. They have a tendency to pick up lint and other particles from other fabrics and the next time you use your towels this lint will transfer to the surface being cleaned, only making your job harder.
• ONLY USE LIQUID DETERGENTS, never use dry detergents as many times the granules do not fully dissolve and become trapped in the towel. This can cause scratching of the surface you are cleaning.
• NEVER USE BLEACH OR FABRIC SOFTENERS! You simply don't need them. Bleach will damage any fine fabric and fabric softeners deposit a chemical coating on the fabric that you really don't want to transfer to your car's finish or windows.
• Either air dry the towel on a clean line or in your clothes dryer using medium to high heat. High dryer temperatures won’t damage the towel, in fact, it will come out quite fluffy. Also, don't use those toss in fabric softener towels, all they do is deposit chemicals on the fabric that will transfer off to whatever you are cleaning or polishing with the towel.
• If you wash your towels on a regular basis and don't let them get too dirty they will last much longer. As with any fine fabric dirt particles, grease, and other contaminants can cause the fibers to break down so regular cleaning will go a long way in preserving your towels.
• The more the towel is cleaned the fluffier and softer it will get.
• As you use the DF™ Concours Towel you will notice that sometimes a thread will loosen or pull out here or there. This is normal for terrycloth and you should NEVER PULL AT THE LOOSE THREAD! Pulling the thread can cause the weave to come undone or stitching to unravel. Instead, simply trim the thread with a pair of sharp scissors to about 1/4 of an inch from the surface, don't cut too closely. Think of it as giving your towel a haircut from time to time.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Wash the tires and wheels first. If you wash the car body first, the water will dry and spot your car before you can finish washing the tires and wheels. Do not use the same wash water on your car's paint as you do your tires and wheels. Throw it out and refill your bucket.

Mix one cap full of Z-7™ Show Car Wash per gallon of water in a clean wash bucket.

Make sure your car is cool. If possible, work in the shade. A hot surface causes the wash and rinse water to evaporate too quickly, increasing the likelihood of water spotting.

Start by thoroughly wetting the car's finish with a medium spray of water to remove loose grit and surface dirt. One trick is to park on a slight incline. This allows rinse water to run off moldings, trim, and recessed areas better.

Use only 100% cotton, made in the USA towels. Synthetic (flat sided) sponges and wash cloths can trap dirt, grit, and grime on the surface, which can scratch your car's paint.

Start washing from the top down and rinse the car often. Frequent rinsing is important if you are washing on a warm day. Do not allow the soapy water to dry on your paint.

Use a final rinse of free-flowing water (nozzle off the hose) allowing the water to sheet off the car.
